Reilly's Hunt to Find a Good Manga

BEST
Bakuman: A story about two high school kids trying to make a manga. The chapter is the start of this journey. Where one of the characters tries to convince the main character to draw the art for his manga story. This chapter was an amazing chapter. I was totally into it. It immediately gripped me with its cool character designs and detailed art. Every panel had personality and depth to it and the story gets right to the point. I even laughed twice. 9.5/10
BLAME!: Cool Techno Punk manga. Striking visuals. Little dialogue. I still don't know what it's about yet. Listen to Aphex Twin to enhance the reading experience. 9/10

GOOD
Ashita no Joe: Boxing manga. Fun and immediately engaging, reads like a classic manga with Tezuka style art. 8/10
Ajin: Gripping story where the main character is an Ajin, a species of humans that are immortal but you only find out once they actually die. Fun visuals. Will continue. 8/10
 Gantz: Captivating start. 7/10

OKAY
Apocalypse no Toride: fun zombie story, nothing special. 6/10
ReLIFE: simple but effective. Nothing offensive but nothing really at all. Everyone is too pretty. 5/10
Houseki no Kuni: interesting but also boring, lots of text, didn't feel like reading everything so I got confused on what was happening. Art is unique and simple. 5/10

BAD
Summertime Render: Cliche mystery story with shitty fan service, the girl was hot though. 4/10
Veil: Unique art, coloured manga, but it's just two characters talking to eachother, one of them is blind, I think it might turn into a romance, it seems really gay. 4/10
Psyren: An amalgamation of as many anime tropes as possible compiled into one chapter 4/10
 Sengoku Youko: BORING! 4/10
 Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun: BORING! 4/10
Blade of the Immortal: story seemed fine but the art was so hard to make sense of anything 4/10
Superior: BORING! I don't even remember reading this. 3/10
Sanctuary: BORING! really ugly art style. 3/10
No.6: BORING! Too much dialogue. 3/10
Angel Densetsu: BORING! Crummy art. 3/10
Saishuu Heiki Kanojo: BORING! Too much explaining. 3/10
Ibitsu: Horrible, perverted and evil. Disgusting. Anyone who enjoys this shit should be ashamed of themselves and should carry that shame with them for the rest of their lives. 2/10

Final remarks
It honestly was a slog for most of these. I skipped through a bunch of the shittier ones near the end because I was so tired. I noticed a couple of trends that made a huge difference between what makes a good and a bad manga. All of the good chapters were immideately engaging. From the first panel my attention was pulled in by some way. All of the good chapters usually had little dialogue at first as well, focusing more on the art.
